Description of Position: The Hernandez Global Associate Attorney position requires 1-2 years of experience in the immigration field. The attorney in this role must be bilingual (English -Spanish) and licensed to practice law in at least one state. With oversight and training from a senior attorney, as well as support from a team of paralegals, this role will manage the firm’s EOIR Immigration Court caseload from start to finish. Responsibilities will include: preparing written pleadings, relevant motions, prosecutorial discretion requests and applications for relief; facilitating document collection; reviewing all EOIR filings prior to submission; preparing clients for hearings; appearing at hearings; and, keeping staff up-to-date on EOIR procedures. Additionally, this position will manage a portion of the firm’s U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (“USCIS”) caseload. The associate attorney will only manage the firm’s USCIS cases which require interviews (mainly applications to adjust status and naturalization). The attorney in this role will quickly learn and be confronted with multiple aspects of immigration law as they will be exposed to a variety of cases. This role naturally comes with great deal of responsibility however is supported by multiple office components. The ideal candidate is self-motivated to perform in a high-volume, high-quality firm and is eager to learn and take direction. 1-3 years of experience in the immigration field.
Bilingual (Spanish/English).
Licensed to practice law in at least one Ste in the United States.
Able to work and lead with team of paralegals and supporting staff
