Snell and Wilmer is currently looking for a Software Applications Trainer for our Las Vegas Office. As a trainer you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training programs to individuals or groups of employees to enhance their software skills and proficiency. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that firm employees are equipped with the knowledge and understanding necessary to effectively utilize various software applications.

Identify educational needs, develop, and execute training plans, training materials, preparing classes and orientations, and provide software instruction and ongoing learning to the Firm’s employees under the guidance of the Director of Learning & User Support.
Trainers provide front line support, in coordination with the solution center, for all attorneys and staff. You will report directly to the Director of Learning & User Support and work with IT Management, software development/procurement and user groups.
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
You will be responsible for conducting training, new hire orientation, and provide IT support. Assistance may be provided by the firm’s facilities management provider when requested.
Training Program Development: Design and develop comprehensive training programs and materials for various software applications based on identified training needs and objectives. This includes creating training manuals, presentations, and interactive exercises.
Training Delivery: Conduct engaging and informative training sessions, both in-person and virtually, to individuals or groups of software users. Utilize various training methods such as lectures, demonstrations, hands-on exercises, and multimedia presentations to ensure effective learning and understanding.
Training Needs Assessment: Collaborate with stakeholders, such as project managers, software developers, and end-users, to identify specific training needs and skill gaps. Conduct assessments and surveys to determine the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments or improvements.
Software Demonstrations: Demonstrate software functionalities and features to trainees, providing clear explanations and examples to promote understanding and practical application. Address questions, concerns, and technical issues during training sessions to ensure trainees'
Training Documentation: Create and maintain accurate documentation of training materials, including manuals, guides, and reference materials, to support trainees before, during, and after training sessions. Keep training materials up to date with software updates and changes.
Technical Support: Provide technical assistance and support to trainees, resolving software-related issues and troubleshooting problems during and after training sessions. Offer guidance and follow-up assistance to ensure trainees can effectively apply their newly acquired skills.
Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest software trends, features, and industry best practices. Continuously enhance personal knowledge and skills through self-study, attending workshops, seminars, and relevant certifications.
Technical Support
New user setup and workstation relocation
Departed user equipment removal and storage
Troubleshoot technology problems and take the correct actions for quick resolution.
Install and configure software
Image workstations and identify systemic technical issues
Keep up to date detailed inventory on existing and incoming hardware
Utilize the ticketing system for all issues
Develop and document processes and procedures for the desktop/technical support group
Travel to other Snell offices as needed
Other projects as assigned
Additional Responsibilities:
Maintain strong working knowledge of the Firm’s technology systems, by continuing to enhance personal knowledge through ongoing training, reading, and improvement initiatives
Utilize IT ticketing system, provide support with documentation including FAQ's, instructions, procedures, and knowledge-based articles
Provide training to firm’s facilities management provider to facilitate requested support
Always provide the highest level of service and satisfaction
Minimal travel required
Experience and Qualifications:
Proven experience as a software trainer or in a similar training role.
In-depth knowledge of software systems, including popular applications and platforms.
Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
Proficiency in instructional design principles and adult learning methodologies.
In-depth knowledge and experience supporting desktop and laptop computers, local and networked printers, PDA devices, desktop scanners and other peripheral devices
Strong technical knowledge of PC/laptop hardware, Windows, and Apple iOS
Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple training projects simultaneously.
Problem-solving skills to address trainees' questions and troubleshoot software-related issues.
Ability to adapt training methods and materials to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Familiarity with virtual training platforms and e-learning tools.
Patience, empathy, and a passion for teaching and helping others succeed.
Attention to detail and accuracy in training materials and documentation.
Exceptional customer service skills
Excellent communication and written skills
Strong knowledge of MS Office 2016 (O365)
Ability to manage multiple projects, and appropriately prioritize tasks
Working knowledge of basic network concepts (such as TCP/IP, wireless, VPN)
Lifting, carrying, and moving light-to-medium weights of up to 45 lbs.
Experience designing technical course materials
Strong training skills with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users
Ability to multi-task, manage and appropriately prioritize multiple projects
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Minimal travel required
