O'Neill, Heinrich, Damkroger, Bergmeyer & Shultz, P.C., L.L.O. is a mid-sized law firm serving private and public sector clients in Nebraska, the Midwest and across the country on a wide variety of legal matters. Our office is located in downtown Lincoln, Nebraska and we are seeking an attorney interested in general business law to join our practice. Experience practicing in corporate law and working commercial transactions in a law firm environment is preferred. This position requires excellent communication skills and the desire to develop long-lasting client relationships. A further outline of job duties, responsibilities and qualifications are set forth below:
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a diverse range of business law related agreements, including purchase agreements, leases, loan documents and organizational documents
- Providing advice to clients on all aspects of business law, including corporate governance, commercial transactions, real estate, employment law, intellectual property, succession planning
- Work with clients in a variety of fields including hospitality, construction, banking, agriculture, medical, government and investment
- Proactively manage transactions from beginning to completion
- Opportunities to be involved within internal firm management to provide recommendations for continuous improvement
Qualifications/Education/Experience:
- Experience practicing corporate law and/or commercial transactions
- Active member of the Nebraska State Bar, or ability to waive in
- Excellent critical thinking, organizational, analytical, reasoning and negotiation skills
- High ethical standards, self-motivated
- Strong writing, research and communications skills
- Ability to develop client relationships and collaborate with clients to develop strategies
- Capability to work on multiple tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining proficiency
